Note

When editing an element, note the various editing considerations.

Fields

Name

The Name of the graphic

Please note:

You cannot use the following characters: \ / : * ? " < > |

If you enter an invalid character, a yellow triangle is displayed next to the name; hover your cursor over the triangle to view a message that indicates the invalid character

If you change the name of a graphic resource that is in the workspace definition file, a new graphic resource is created with this name

Description

A description of the graphic.

Replace existing graphic with Documaker graphic

Use this checkbox to replace the graphic you are editing with a Documaker graphic that is specified in a workspace definition file (WDF).

To use this check box:

While editing a graphic in your document, select a Documaker graphic from the Name drop-down.
Ensure this check box is selected.
Click OK.

The graphic you are editing is replaced with the Documaker graphic that you selected from the Name drop-down.

If you clear this checkbox, then the graphic that you are editing will be retained but will be sized according to the setting in Resize graphic to Documaker graphic size.

Resize graphic to Documaker graphic size

Use this checkbox to resize the graphic you are editing with a Documaker graphic that is specified in a workspace definition file (WDF).

Note

If Replace existing graphic with Documaker graphic is selected, then Resize graphic to Documaker graphic size is automatically selected.

To use this check box:

While editing a graphic in your document, select a Documaker graphic from the Name drop-down
Ensure this check box is selected.
Click OK.

The graphic you are editing is resized using the dimensions of the Documaker graphic that you selected from the Name drop-down.

If you clear this checkbox, then the dimensions of the graphic that you are editing will be retained.

Mobile

Omit and Context options display when adding or editing a graphic resource.

Omit - Select this checkbox, if you do not want the graphic to be included in the Mobile Output .

Context - Select this option to pick from a list of available tags or edit/add a new one on the particular resource.

Note

If you have not purchased and installed Documaker Mobile the required mobile options will be disabled. To purchase Documaker Mobile visit My Oracle Support website or contact your Oracle Sales representative.

Apply changes to all occurrences of this resource in the document

This check box appears only when editing a graphic from the Insert Graphic task pane.

Select this check box to update all the graphic elements (in the active document only) that are based on this graphic resource.

Apply changes to all occurrences of this resource in all open documents

This check box appears only when editing a field from the Manage Resources dialog

Select this check box to update all the graphic elements (in all open documents) that are based on this graphic resource
